Disney Channel GOT ME!!

I am so freaking caught up with almost everything they played in Disney Channel.
I think I need to grow up pretty soon because I started to like that Demi Lovato and that Selena Gomez kid!
Even WORST, I sing along to the Best of Both Worlds song by Hannah Montana aka Miley Cyrus!
and God forgives me for doing this, but I LIKE this song too!
(sorry, I can't help it. I watch Wizards of Waverly Place (almost) every night!)

Selena Gomez - Everything Is Not What It Seems
Well you know everything's gonna be a breeze
that the end will no doubt justify the means
You could fix any problem at the slightest ease
Yes, please...

Well you might find out it'll go to your head
When you write a report on a book you never read
With the snap of your fingers you can make your bed
That's what I said

Everything is not what it seems
When you can get all you wanted in your wildest dreams
You might run into trouble if you go to extremes
Because everything is not what it seems

Everything is not what it seems
When you can get what you want by the simplest of means
Be careful not to mess with the balance of things
Because everything is not what it seems
Just how can you resist the cute-ness factor in this song?
and the fact that it is sang by a kid who's as young as my own little sister.
God! even my sister is OLDER than Selena Gomez for few days!
I think I need to grow up pretty soon!

p.s. PLEASE God... Don't make me like that gay brother of Jonas (esp. Joe Jonas <-- EW!) or even WORSE, Zac Efron! PLEASE, God! PLEASE!

from the rest (witty)

I finished reading A Fraction of the Whole by Steve Toltz sometime ago and here are some of the things that I love from the book. I quoted some lines and I put them here.
These quotes that I gather in this post are about some random stuff in life. There are gonna be some more post about other stuff.
So why are you still delaying to read this book? I wonder...

"... but I'm just impatient w/ other people's opinions because I'm sure they're just repeating something they heard somewhere or else regurgitating ideas to fed them in childhood. Look, everyone's entitled to their own opinion & I'd never shut anyone down who was expressing one but can you be sure it's really theirs? I'm not. "
Martin Dean's journal (p. 205)

"How can you encourage your students to think for themselves with an open mind if you've got an outdated belief system crushing your own movement is constricted by stringent dogmatic principles..."
Martin Dean to Mr. White (an English teacher) (p. 301)

"... that there are four kinds of people in this world, those who are obsessed with love, those who have it, those who laugh at retarded people when they are children, and those who laugh at them right into adulthood and old age."
A thought by Martin Dean (p. 384-385)

"... teenagers die in only three ways: suicide, drunk driving, peanut allergy."
A thought by Martin Dean (p. 412)

"Because the past is always the worst thing happening to the present at any given time."
A thought by Martin Dean (p. 421)

"The Buddhists are right. Guilty men are not sentenced to death, they are sentenced to life."
A thought by Martin Dean (p. 432)

"To be fat is to love life."
A thought by Terry Dean (p. 467)

"People always say, 'It's good to be a part of something bigger than yourself,' but you already are. You're part of a huge thing. The whole humanity. That's enormous. But you couldn't see it, so you pick, what? An organization? A culture? A religion? That's not bigger than you. It's much, much smaller!"
A thought by Jasper Dean (p. 532-533)

"He thought that there seems to be no passion for life, only for lifestyle.
About pain and suffering - he thought that you can beat it all. It's only the fear of pain and suffering that is unbearable.
He didn't believe that anyone ever started from the scratch. 'People aren't looking for answers,' he often said. 'They're looking for facts to prove their case.'"
Martin Dean's obituary by Jasper Dean (p. 553, 554, 555)

"We have no trouble believing that the worst creature who has done the most harm is a man, but we absolutely cannot believe that the best creature, who tries to inspire imagination, creativity, and empathy, can be one of us. We just don't think that highly of ourselves, but we happily think that low."
A thought by Jasper Dean on Martin Dean's obituary (p. 558)

"Or about how idiot savants surprise their doctors, losers blame their fathers, and failures blame their children.
Or about how when you're a child, to stop you from following the crowd you're assaulted with the line, 'If everyone jumped off the bridge, would you?' but when you're an adult and to be different is suddenly a crime, people seem to be saying, 'Hey. Everyone else is jumping off a bridge. Why aren't you?'
A thought by Jasper Dean (p. 560)

And I quoted one more lines that praise this novel:
"The term The Great American Novel is often bandied about. But what about The Great Australian Novel ? How come a country so full of fascinating characters has produced so few stories about them? Well this is it. The Great Australian Novel."

by Kevin, a reader. I found his very well-written review on goodreads.com.

So why is it people still refuse to read this book???
I can only respond to that with another quote:
"He thought that people who don't read books don't know that any number of dead geniuses are waiting for their call."

Martin Dean's obituary by Jasper Dean (p. 553)

somethings about Europe

Paris-perfect city to be lonely & miserable in.
London too grim to be sack with any dignity. You grisly town! You cold gray cloud! You low-lying layer of mist & fog! You dense moan! You drizzling forlorn sigh! You shallow gene pool! You career town! You brittle town! You fallen empire! You page-three town! Lesson from London-hell isn't red-hot but cold & gray.
And Rome? Full of sexual predators who live with their mothers.
Venice? Too many tourists as dumb as believers feed Italian pigeons, whereas in their own cities they snub them.
Athens? Everywhere mounted policeman ride by, pausing only so their horses can shit on cobblestone streets-horse shit lying in such mammoth piles you think there must be no better laxative in the world than bales of hay.
Spain? Streets smell like socks fried in urine-too many Catholics baptized in piss. Tho real problem with Spain is you're constantly frustrated by fireworks-sexual stink of exploding fiestas salt in wound of loneliness.

Mama Alien

Fortune Teller
(spiritual, Aura, Hang Sui, Feng Sui)

Konsultasikan Masalah Anda:
- Perjodohan
- Masalah rumah tangga
- Peruntungan dan masa depan
- Tempat tinggal yang cocok
- dll.

Pendaftaran Rp 20.000,-
Biaya Konsultasi Sukarela

Aku langsung ketawa-ketawa.
Harus ya pakai nama "Mama Alien"???
hahahaha!

Aku sih mikir positif aja.
Semoga booth-nya 'Mama Alien' itu laku, sapa tau nanti aku boleh buka franchise 'Mama Alien' gratis, since I have the real license of the name 'Alien'.
peluang bisnis yang bagus kan?

blushing (part II)

I couldn't find the right words to describe 'it', so I took Maroon 5's song as one of my inspirational quotes.

It would have been nice to be around
I'm touching your skin
If it's only a fantasy, then why is it killing me?
And I guess this must be infatuation

The Script

I don't care that MANY people turn out not to like this band,
but like who cares? I don't.

I just bought their cds and I'm in LOVE with their songs and lyrics
out of 10 songs in the album, I'm gonna quote 6 of the lyrics here.

We Cry
There comes a time when every bird has to fly
At some point every rose has to die
It’s hard to let your children go
Leave home
Where they go?
Who knows!
Getting drunk
Getting stoned
All alone
Teach a man to fish
You’ll feed him never lie
You show your kids the truth
Hope they never lie
Instead of reading in a letter
that they’ve gone to something better
“Bet your sorry now! I won’t be coming home tonight”

Before the Worst
We were sitting with our backs against the world
Saying things that we thought but never heard
Who would have thought it would end up like this?
Where everything we talked about is gone
And the only chance we have of moving on
Talk You Down
We're standing on a tiny ledge
Before this goes over the edge
Gonna use my heart and not my head
and try to open up your eyes
This is Relationship suicide

The Man Who Can't Be Moved
Cause if one day you wake up
and find that you're missing me,
And your heart starts to wonder
where on this earth I can be,
Thinking maybe you'd come back here
to the place that we'd meet,
And you'd see me waiting for you
on the corner of the street.
So I'm not moving...
I'm not moving.

Breakeven
They say bad things happen for a reason
But no wise word's gonna stop the bleeding
Cos she's moved on while I'm still grieving
And when a heart breaks no it don't breakeven
Even No-oh
And what am I gonna to do
When the best part of me was always you and
What am I suppose to say
When I'm all choked up and your okay and
I'm falling to pieces, yeah

If You See Kay
She said I Won the battle but I lost the war
And now my head is sore
And If I try to sail back in
She's gon push me from the shore
Now I wont ever get the time of day
No way no way no.
Not for what I said but for what I didn't say
what I didn't say so
If you see Kay Will you tell her that I love her
And if you see Kay
Let her know I want her back
If she listens, say that I'm missing
Everything about her
Make sure you say
I'm sweet FA without her
If you see Kay

Family

"... I'm a little agitated, that's all. I'm not used to being agitated. You know, I've been away from my family for so long, it's having a funny effect on me having you to here. I don't feel quite myself. I don't feel quite as... free. I've started fretting about you too, if you want to know the truth. And I haven't fretted about anything or anyone in a long time."

Money

It all started few days ago when someone came up to me and ask for my financial help.

I was shocked.
Yes. I mean. Really.

I mean, some people come and go to my mom and dad for some financial help but no one has come up to me and ask for a financial help before.
I didn't even know how to react after that particular person asked for my help.

A lot of things went through my mind.
Is this person honest? or is this person just trying to scam me?
is the person really need the money? or is this person just saying that so this particular person can go out partying like there's no tomorrow?
Why this person came up to me now? why not earlier?
we've known each other for a very long time, but why now?
Why this person never tells me anything about the family's financial situation?
Why this person keeps it as a secret from me?
If this person got embarrassed about the financial situation, why this person has to? I thought we were friends for along time...
and tons of other question...

So I decided that I would help this person from my pocket money.
Currently, I don't have much money so I gave the person as much as I could.
It was only a few hundred-thousand rupiah but the person said it could help for about 2 months rent.
I can't imagine what kind of room this person is renting with that very small amount of money. Even smaller than my own room, maybe.

and then I thought about my life.
My GOOD life.
that few hundred-thousand rupiah could probably only buy me a pair of sandals.
or maybe for my monthly electricity bill.
or even just a lunch with my mom, dad, and sister.
that few hundred-thousand rupiah can not pay for my fiscal everytime I go abroad.
it can not buy me a nice-branded bag(s) that I want.
and I surely need more than that few hundred-thousand rupiah for my monthly gas money.

God! I'm such an ungrateful person!
How can I be proud of being well-off when there are friends of mine who can't afford a room to rent? or even the money for the school's fee.

I promised to myself that from now on, I would be more aware of my friends' financial condition.
and even more, I would definitely appreciate the value of every single thing that I own.

My Type of Guy

I've been delaying to write about the type of guy that I like.
I also have been delaying to write about my unconditional love for this one and only guy.

From this moment on, if anyone ask me what would my type of guy like?
I would answer: I would like a guy with an Anderson Cooper quality in him.

I have been in love with Anderson Cooper ever since the very first second I saw him on TV few years ago.
Tall, handsome, smart.
He graduated from Yale, a son of one very rich family, a brilliant reporter and news anchor, and he has his own show.
what in the world could I ask for more in a guy?
(well, there is actually, for him to be a Muslim *wink*)
Anderson Cooper is the very type of guy that I would want to wrap up and bring back home.

I don't think that have to say anything else about this guy.
You just have to see his picture to witness his handsome face and watch his show to witness his smart talk.

Below, is one of my favorite picture of him.

Gosh!
I would love to meet and take a picture of me with him...
plus, it would be lovely if he wrote to me one of his favorite quotes and sign it for me.

Anderson Cooper rocks!

Plain White T's - 1,2,3,4

my current favorite song!!!
LOVE it!!!
simple lyrics. simple music.
very romantic.
Imagine a guy came up to a girl and he sings this song.
Gosh! I'd be melting.
(apalagi kalo cowoknya seganteng daniel. ahahahhahaha!)
very nice indeed.

Plain White T's - 1,2,3,4

1 2, 1 2 3 4-
Give me more lovin' than I've ever had,
Make it all better when I'm feelin' sad,
Tell me that I'm special even when I know I'm not,
Make it feel good when I hurt so bad, Barely gettin' mad,
I'm so glad I found you; I love bein' around you.

You make it easy, it's easy as 1,2- 1,2,3,4
There's only 1 thing 2 do 3 words 4 you-
(I love you) I love you
There's only 1 way 2 say those 3 words
and that's what I'll do-(I love you)
I love you.

Give me more lovin' from the very start,
Piece me back together when I fall apart,
Tell things you never even tell your closest friends-
Make it feel good when I hurt so bad, Best I that I've had,
I'm so glad I found you, I love bein' around you.

You make it easy, it's easy as 1,2- 1,2,3,4
There's only 1 thing 2 do 3 words 4 you-
(I love you) I love you
There's only 1 way 2 say those 3 words and
that's what I'll do- (I love you)I love you.
(I love you) I love you.

You make it easy, it's easy as 1,2- 1,2,3,4
There's only 1 thing 2 do 3 words 4 you-
(I love you) I love you
There's only 1 way 2 say those 3 words and
that's what I'll do-(I love you)
I love you.

Cowok Ganteng (part II)

Okay...

Awalnya jalanannya masih bagus. Masih beraspal walaupun lubang sana-sini.
Will my car make it? That is the question.
Mobilku memang automatic namun medannya emang gak pantes buat mobilku yang zero emition itu. Jalanannya memang benar-benar 60 derajat, berbatu, berlubang, dan dikelilingi jurang.
Samuel sambil mesem-mesem bilang, “baru pertama kali gue ngeliat mobil matic gigi ‘L’-nya dipake!”

Aku memutuskan bahwa the torture for my car is over for the day.
I’m not freaking kidding. I will never ever coming back to the damn place!
But believe me my friends, it’s not freaking worth it!

Let’s just keep it to ourselves.
Jadi, first stop: Kartika Sari.
3 hours for girls talk? That is short!
Beneran deh, waktu tiga jam itu gak kerasa sama sekali. Kita udah bisa ngegosipin hampir semua anak 8EH. Kita udah bisa saling bertukar cerita tentang our past relationships and their current relationships. We even had times to talk about people that we don’t even know. You know, the kinda girl talk that goes,
“I know so-and-so and she is the worst clothing mix-matcher ever! She could wear orange shirt with green pants, yellow shoes, red tote bag, and pink bandana! Can you imagine that?”
What a great way to spend your morning, isn’t it? LOL
And second stop: bakso.
Yuk!”
Seru deh. Aku emang sering melakukan girls day out gitu sama beberapa teman.

Seru. It involves lots of eating. LOL.
And great friends.
I can’t be grateful enough.

Gak sabar buat petualangan selanjutnya!

Falling in Love Again

I watched American Idol again and I can't believe how happy I am watching it.

The term that I made for myself, which is "I'm falling in love all over again to Amrican Idol", is so very true.
I love it!!!

It's surprising that many unexpected things happened already.
like, many people gave the big talk and even the down the river cry and yet they turned out to be good singers.
usually people who gave the 'big talk' of how good they are, they turned out to be terrible singers. which meant that many good singers go more cocky over the years.
Yet, there are some people who looks pretty and dress nicely not over the top and everything, and their voices are horrible.
And I don't know, I feel that they let through some 'okay' singers. But who am I to say that? I'm no judge.

Still though,
It's really fun to see Simon Cowell actually laugh out loud in this season. He's really happy as far as the season goes, it seems to me.
Randy is a cool dawg, as always.
Paula Adul just can't say no to everyone.
and that new judge, Kara something is very pretty and full of smile and nice and fair.

I can't wait to see the Hollywood Week!
But I'm not quite done with the Audition Tour yet.
So, keep'em coming!

Seminar Seru!

Pas aku nanya harganya, ternyata seratus ribu rupiah. Aku langsung males.
Still yakin aja, walaupun sendirian juga. hehehehhe
Pas baru masuk Aula Barat, udah langsung kaget.

Opini pertama aku pas ngedenger dia ngomong: "aduuuhhhh seru banget!!!! coba aja semua dosen kayak dia!"
Apalagi pas dia mendefinisikan kata crisis. Asli keren banget!
Kata dia, pas dia nyari artinya, kata crisis itu artinya adalah a turning point to the better or the worse.
It's the best definition of words ever! keren!

Trus setelah coffee break yang agak sedikit gak penting (soalnya pas jam setengah 1 perut aku udah berontak kelaparan lagi, artinya coffee breaknya gak mempan. LOL), seminarnya dilanjutin lagi.
Pembicaranya langsung Bob Sadino dan Jaya Setiabudhi.
It was definetely a chaos.

Berani?"
Peserta seminar langsung diam.

  2. Ngapain sih pakai ngerencanain macem-macem segala? analisis resiko dan kerugian? kalau emang pengen usaha, ya udah buka aja usaha dan jalanin aja!

Pak wakil rektorat really missed the point.
3. Dosen ITB mencoba mengubah mindset? BULLSHIT!

Sayangnya seminar setelah makan siangnya agak ngebosenin.

Bosen. Ngantuk.

Overall, seminarnya seru.
The kinda thing that I would love to know lah... walaupun buat usaha sendirinya mah masih males.
Thanks ya Anna udah diajakin!
Great job, HMP!

DYING!!!

Funny Things

Okay, since I'm still reading the novel called A Fraction of the Whole by Steve Toltz,
and I previously pointed out some wit that this novel has,
Now I want to point out what the Wall Street Journal called "riotously funny..."

Two days later, in the Australian Army Registration Office, I found myself answering stupid questions with stupid answers.
"Tell me, sonny, what do you think makes good army material?" the recruiting officer asked.
"Light cotton?" I offered, and after not laughing for ten straight seconds, he grudgingly sent me down to the doctor.
(p. 96-97)

Then she kissed me with her eyes closed-I know because mine were wide open. Then she opened her eyes too, so I shut mine quickly. ...
My hands went for her breasts, something I'd wanted to do even before she had them.
Her hands, meanwhile, went straight for my belt, and she fumble to undo it.
For a split second I thought she wanted to hit me with it. Then I got into the swing of things, and reached up her skirt and pulled off her underpants.
(p. 100)

This is what I call a laugh-out-loud!

I'm falling in love all over again...

American Idol season 8 is ON!!!

I am so excited!

Well, I wasn't really excited about the last season.
I got a little disappointed, to be honest.

Remember season 6?
I mean, there's nothing wrong with Jordin Sparks, but I was really

disappointed when Lakisha and Melinda got kick out of the show.
I got so bored with the show that I didn't even watch the final between

Jordin and Blake.
I claimed that Americans had made a really big mistake.

When it got to season 7 I wasn't interested in it at all.
I just watched couple shows and I found that David Archuletta is good.

And that Syaesha girl is also good.
and that's about it.
I mean, when one of my friends sent me "You'll Always Be My Baby" by

David Cook on Facebook, I was like, "which one is David Cook again?"
I really didn't care about it at all.

But then I went to You Tube and AmericanIdol.com to see more of

Archuleta and Cook, I found that Cook was actually pretty good.
Or I should say that he is REALLY good.
and good choice of songs too. Even better than Archuletta.
At the end, finally Americans do something right.
Even Simon looked happy at the season 7 finale when Cook was announced

as the winner.

Plus, Star World was putting marathon of season 6 and 7 in

two Sundays. I watched the marathons and I fell in love again.
The marathon consisted of the audition tour and the final show.
And I can't believe that I had so much fun watching it.
I laughed and got entertained.

So, season 8 is in the house and I'm really excited to follow it

through.
The first episode was just a blast. I like it alot.
For the first time I saw Simon Cowell put someone through because of

the body and look instead of the voice.
I could just see his eyes was staring at 'something else'. and just

when the bikini girl open her mouth to sing but not quite yet sing, he

said "beautiful" right away.
He's straight, after all. LOL
What I wonder was Ryan Seacrest, though.
When the bikini girl came up to him and said that she was gonna make

out with him if she made it through, and he didn't even look turned on

even for a bit. And when she finally made it and looked for Ryan, he

looked really uncomfortable kissing her.
Is the rumour true? Can Ryan Seacrest be gay???
If yes, I'm so totally heart broken.

Oh well, the point is, I'm falling in love again.
With American Idol, that is.
I hope it's gonna be a great season!

from Part One

I'm reading this very cool book called A Fraction of the Whole by Steve Toltz.
Here are some things that I would love to point out:

I thought there must be something secret an sinister about Lionel Potts. I couldn't believe people hated him for being rich, because I'd noticed most people were aching to be rich too; otherwise they wouldn't buy lottery tickets and plan get-rich-quick schemes and play the horses. It made no sense to me that people would hate the very thing they aspired to become.
(p. 36)

"You know what I think you should do?" Harry asked.
"What?"
"Kill yourself."
...
We sat glaring at each other.
"Yep, I advise you to commit suicide. It's the best thing for you. ..."
(p. 61)

... If I study hard, I'll pass my exams, but so what? What do I do between that moment and the moment of my death?
(p. 96)

And God! God! God! The most brilliant minds coming up with all these complicated theories and then they say, "But let's just assume there's God and let's assume he's good." Why assume anything? To me, it was obvious man created God in his own image. Man hasn't the imagination to come up with a God totally unlike him, which is why in Renaissance paintings God looks like a skinny version of Santa Claus. Hume says that man only cuts and pastes, he doesn't invent. Angels, for instance, are men with wings. In the same way, Bigfoot is man with big foot.
(p.98)

I quoted from Chicago Sun-Times: "There is wit in every page."

Vertex ROCKS!!!

Jadi ceritanya gini...

Aku sedang menghabiskan waktu bersama Diah seharian.

Awalnya sih, aku cuma berniat buat beli dua buah dvd: Iron Man dan Speed Racer.
Soalnya, film itu kan banyak banget masuk nominasi segala macem dan aku belum nonton sama sekali. Jadinya, supaya gak melulu ngerasa bersalah, aku memutuskan untuk membeli dvd kedua film tersebut.

Trus kita berdua sampai di Vertex.
Mulai melihat-lihat, akhirnya aku pertama liat dvd Iron Man. ternyata di sebelah kirinya Iron Man adalah dvd Speed Racer.
what a coincidence!
Kemudian aku melanjutkan melihat-lihat dvd yang lainnya.

Entah mengapa, dadaku tiba-tiba berdebar-debar.
Aku spontan menahan nafas. Revolutionary Road, begitu judul filmnya.
Aku hampir pingsan.

Diah bilang, "yah... beli ajalah kalo emang mau... tapi kayaknya gambarnya belum bagus deh..."
Aku memutuskan untuk mencoba filmnya terlebih dahulu.

Aku kembali melihat-lihat rak dvd.
Sampai aku sampai ke depan kasir dimana ada tulisan 'new release' disana.
Aku kemudian meraih rak kecil dibawah tulisan 'new release' tersebut. Aku mendekatkan mataku.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button juga udah ada bajakannya!!!
Aku hampir berteriak.
Diah terkaget-kaget.

(hampir) sempurna!
Kami berdua ber-wow-wow-ria.
Diah kemudian berkata, "yah, palingan subtitle-nya yang masih jelek. gak pas..."
Aku menekan tombol subtitle kemudian subtitle-nya keluar. Tindakanku selanjutnya adalah mengeraskan volume suara tv.
Subtitle-nya tepat! Kata-katanya, detik-detik dimana subtitle-nya harus keluar juga tepat!
Aku dan Diah kembali tergelak. Fantastis!

Aku kemudian tidak sabar untuk mencoba dvd The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
Jujur saja, aku deg-deg-an.

Kayaknya prospeknya bagus. Aku bisa jadi orang paling up to date lagi masalah film.

Hidup pengusaha dvd bajakan Indonesia!!!

Cerita Sebelum Tidur

They were having so much fun.

"That was good!" Rafika said.
"Yes. A very funny movie." Alana said.

Rafika terdiam sebentar lalu berkata, "Eh... Apa tadi gue emang gak pake cincin ya?"
Alana hanya bisa terbahak.

Rafika masih sibuk mencari-cari sambil berkata,
"Gue mo balik lagi ke BSM! Gue kesel! I'm such a retard!"

"Come on! It's just a freaking ring! It's not like you're loosing a friend! It's just a ring, it's replaceable!

the latest holiday

Okay...

after having a hard time in my final exams week.
I finally have time to compile a very brief story about my year-end holiday.

1. Vatican

Here's Alia, my mom, and me in front of St. Peter's church. The most holy church for Catholic people, or so I heard.
In the picture, we were standing in the square called St. Peter's Square which basically is as big as Vatican is. Behind me is the church and all around me is basically the whole country of Vatican. For example, further to the left in the picture is the Vatican's post office, and other offices. Cute, eh? Very small country.
And if you can see, behind me the was stages being built. Vatican was preparing itself for Christmas mass.

2. Colosseum, Rome

I stopped in few different places in Rome, but I think the Colosseum is one of the most authentic places.
But to my surprise (yeah right), it was just an ordinary old building. Well, it's not even a building.
It's not as great as people talk about.
I don't know. Maybe it's just me.

3. The Leaning Tower, Pisa.

If there is a place which I was like, "Wtf? that's freaking it?" on this trip, it would be this leaning tower.
I mean. Honestly, there's nothing special about this tower. It just leans a bit to one side.

4. Venezia

Of course my mom, Alia, and me took a ride in the famous gondola.
But seriously, nothing really special about it.
I was more amazed by the island of Venezia. It's a really cool island with small stores, little streets everywhere, and little bridges all around.
The island is romantic, indeed. But the gondola is not so much, I think.
P.S. none of the gondola 'driver' sings. they usually play you some music, but they personally don't sing.

5. Milan

It's really too bad that I was in this city for Christmas. Although the church was big and pretty with all the carving and decoration, none of the fabulous Milan's boutique was open.
But the square that made it to the city center, as you can see in this picture, was pretty cool. It is basically surrounded by many boutiques. With all the pigeons putting up quiet a show for every visitor, Milan is indeed a classy city.

6. Como
This little town is very famous because of the lake behind me. and if you can see all the houses behind the lake, one of them is George Clooney's. So, if you want to live in one neighborhood with Clooney, go live in this town.
The view is indeed very beautiful.
And it was very close to the Switzerland border, so it's pretty cool.

7. Luzern

Well, Switzerland id very famous with their watch and knives.
So I stood there in the basically the middle of the town Luzern. Behind me is a watch store called Bucherer. You can get every branded Swiss-watch that you ever imagine. Swatch, Rolex, Omega, etc.
Other than the amazingly expensive shops, I love this little town the most in this trip.
The town is very small, the crime rate is very low. Plus it also has romantic lake and bridge, that even goose was making so much love while floating along the lake.
I would live in Switzerland if I ever have a choice (and money!).

8. Mount Titlis
It was cold but the snow was fun.
Still though, it was too cold. lol.
I kinda miss hills (or in this case, mountains) of snow after Canada.
This one was a great reminder of Canada.

9. Rheinfall

This is very close to Switzerland and Germany's border. and if you heard about Rheine river in Germany, well, it all started here, from Switzerland. The funny thing was that this Rheinfall was mentioned to have a similarities with the Niagara Falls. Well, in my opinion, Niagara Falls was just incredible. This one is just a very small miniature of Niagara Falls.

10. Titise

You can't really see what's there behind me but it's actually the famous Titise's lake and Germany's black forest.
Pretty awesome, I think. Except, the forest is not really black. It's actually dark green if you see it closely.

11. Frankfurt

I actually didn't get to see the city that much. But I got to see Elisa and her parents. So that was great. It's only been about 6 months since we last met and I think we had a great night.

12. Koln

I'm standing in front of the very famous big church in Koln, Germany.
And everywhere you can smell that original cologne that people used in the past.

13. Amsterdam

This is around the city center of Amsterdam. Just a few blocks aways from the Red Lights District.
We just came back from the Red Lights District and because we couldn't take pictures around the Red Lights District, we took pictures here, instead.
And it's actually my second time to visit the city and everytime, I got something new.

14. Volendam

Well, no matter what my Dutch friends said that it is lame to come to this little town, we came there anyways. It's my second time there too and I enjoyed it.The town was pretty amazing because it is very close to the sea. When I came in summer, there was traditional dam along the sea lines. and this time, the sea lines was frosted and icy.

15. Brussels

Again, my second visit to the city.
I came there first on summer where all the cafes pulled out their tables and chairs outside and it looked so cool.
This time it was really nice with all the lights and the ilumination.
It's a very cool little city.

16. Eurodisney, Paris

I got many pictures of me and the Eurodisney.
But I decided to go with the very ordinary one. The picture of me, my mom, and the Disney's castle.
It was very weird because it was really cold that day, even the parade was cancelled due to the weather, but people were packed in there. There was a very long line up in every ride and games. It was almost as crowded as when I came in summer time. and I think that was weird. It was freaking cold and rainy, and wet and it was the worst day of the whole trip!

17. Eiffel Tower, Paris

Sure, nobody has enough pictures of Eiffel Tower.
Such as my little sister and I. We had tons of pictures of us and the Eiffel when we came there in summer. But sure, when you finally got to Eiffel, you just need to take more pictures.
Unfortunately it was pretty early in the morning when we went out and the fog basically covered the whole Paris.
That's too bad, but oh well. Eiffel was still pretty cool.

So that was my short trip to few countries in Europe.
Can't wait for the next trip ti the continent!
